Participants from Tunisia (Atef Atyaoui, Nader Ayadi, Semia Harbawi, Hajer Miladi, Lamia Tayeb, Imen Yacoubi) and Morroco (Abdelkader Hamouchi, Touria Nakkouch, Ahmed Naoual) met in Paris with the project mentors (Andrew Hussey, Kate Pullinger and Stephen Regan). Unfortunately three of the particpants from Morroco were unable to obtain visas to join us and were sorely missed - Lahcen Qasserras, Moulay Idriss el Maarouf and Youssef Arrouss.

Professor Mohammed Laamiri gave a very interesting talk about 'Writing North Africa'. Followed by 'The Writer as a Nomad' and an 'Introduction to Nomadic Writing' by the Morrocan author Youssouf Amine Elalamy.

The mentors sessions ranged from 'Parisian Scenes: Out Walking with Baudelaire' by Stephan Regan, through 'Digital Literature' by Kate Pullinger, to 'Writing the City, Writing Paris Underground' by Andrew Hussey. The particpants then explored the 7th arrondissement as the basis of their next non-fiction assignment.
